Sounds crazy, right? How can a dog ease unsubscribe complaints and why should you care?
First, here’s what I’m working on. I have a client and we are building a sales funnel around a product he offers. We were sending emails to a list of people who opted into the client’s email list…at some point in the past. However, some recipients (incorrectly as they joined our email list willingly in the past) flagged the emails as unsolicited spam while they were requesting to be removed from future emails from my client. If 1% of total email recipients report your email as unsolicited, this can spell disaster for email campaigns because your entire email platform (ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, InfusionSoft, etc) can be shut down as you are violating their terms of service where you agreed to NOT send unsolicited emails.
