Stand out while staying in with Zoom’s new feature!
Zoom’s new tool won’t just make your meetings feel more personal but could also help you stand out as you share content on social media. We have all seen a flood of videos that are basically just several people in a Zoom meeting discussing events, technologies or their solutions. This is amazing content and easy to create! Now you can stand-out among all the other Zoom creators with a collaborative video making your attendees appear to be in the same room while recording conveniently from your home office. Immersive view also prevents your videos from all looking the exact same. If you publish content weekly, simply changing the immersive room background, wearing a different colored shirt, and now your channel won’t look like it is constantly playing reruns.
Here’s how you can do this right now
Shake it up and make your meetings and content unique by utilizing Immersive View! This collaborative tool takes the social element of virtual meetings to the next level by placing all participants (up to 25 of them) in a communal setting on the screen. Instead of a random assortment of squares with faces in random rooms, Immersive View puts people next to each other at a table, in a conference room, or wherever you want via the Virtual Background feature.
If you just figured out Zoom meetings and are thinking this sounds hard; don’t worry, they made it incredibly simple to set up and use! Immersive View can be enabled at the account (if you or your company have an account with multiple users and you want them all to have access start this is your option), group (if you want to enable for all members of a specific group within Zoom you will want to work at the group level) or down at the user level (just you).
At the account and group level you will want to go to ‘Account/User Management’, click on the ‘Meeting’ tab and then navigate to ‘In Meeting (Advanced)’. There you will see an option for Immersive View and you want to just make sure that is enabled. If it is then you are done! If not, just enable it. Nothing to it.
For the user it is one step easier! Once you sign in to the Zoom portal and click ‘Settings’ you will already have a ‘Meeting’ tab available and you can follow the steps above to make sure Immersive View is enabled.
You’re good to go, enjoy your new feeling of community as you see yourself virtually surrounded by attendees within your new meeting view.
